Research interests

I have a broad (and when I say broad, I mean broad!) interest in Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Conservation Biology, but the main focus of my research is to understand how the interplay between ecological and evolutionary processes determine patterns of biological diversity and species interaction. During my PhD, I investigated the effects of eco-evolutionary dynamics on the robustness of mutualistic networks and I developed new statistical methods capable to integrate functional and phylogenetic information in order to describe structural patterns of ecological networks.

My work here at the CBTM focuses on investigating the combined effects of Climate Change and habitat fragmentation in meta-ecosystems.
